Gerard Oates, Managing Director

Gerard, a Chartered Accountant who qualified with Price Waterhouse, now has over 25 years involvement in the lighting industry. He led the MBO of the company in 2001 and is now focused on improving the overall performance of the business. “Arcadia has good distributors in most countries for aquatic products, but not necessarily for reptile products. Over the next year or so, we will be appointing new reptile distributors in those countries not currently being served well. The whole reptile hobby is vibrant and as such the demand for good reptile lighting products is growing strongly. Husbandry is improving, and more and more hobbyists understand that effective specialist UV lighting is essential. Arcadia are thus investing heavily into bringing new exciting reptile products to this vibrant market.”
